Julie Gates:Today, Brightline West holds its official groundbreaking ceremony in
Julie Gates:Las Vegas, bringing them one step closer to providing a two hour high
Julie Gates:speed passenger rail service between Las Vegas and Southern California.
Julie Gates:Florida's Broward County Transit is using a compassionate
Julie Gates:approach to manage homelessness.
Julie Gates:In November, they began a pilot program to address the issues of
Julie Gates:unsheltered people at bus terminals, bus stops, and on vehicles.
Julie Gates:With a team of outreach workers, BCT has provided over 300 people with
Julie Gates:essential services and legal assistance.
Julie Gates:And over 40, 000 people have signed up for Earth Day Canada's program, which
Julie Gates:has Canadians commit to 10 sustainable commutes, like riding a bike or taking
Julie Gates:public transportation instead of driving.
Julie Gates:The grand prize includes a one year public transit pass.
